"We were so honored to have been chosen for a family task force, we could scarcely believe it was real until we were getting on the plane.
We told our children how lucky we are there are Americans out there who care about them so much, they'd send us on vacation without having ever met us.
Our trip was seamlessly coordinated by BSB, and we had zero logistical worries. From the flights to the lodging and activities, everything was ideal. Walking a mountain trail early in the morning with the kids, watching them splash in a brook, and look for elk have become beautiful memories we'll cherish as parents. All of us learned to fly fish on this trip, and it's an activity we plan to continue to pursue together.
Being able to tell the kids that they were getting to go with daddy on a trip was priceless. It wasn't "daddy's next trip," but "our family trip," and what a major shift that was.
Without BSB, we'd never have been able to do something like this for our children. The gratitude we feel is overwhelming, and we only hope to someday be on the other side of the donor equation. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who made our family trip possible."
