Family Task Force 33

Big Sky, Montana

“I cannot thank the donors to BSB enough for the incredible experience we had in Montana. Our family had a joyful, fun, and relaxing time together. Our kids are still young, so they enjoyed every moment of our trip, from the opportunity to fly on an airplane all the way to jumping in and out of the snow, back into the hot tub at our cabin. We were treated like kings by BSB, and no expense was spared to ensure that we had a memorable trip and that we could focus on family togetherness.

It warms our hearts just knowing that patriotic Americans appreciate the work that my husband does for our nation, and his sacrifices. There is an untold bond of gratitude that we share now - from our family to those families whose generosity made this possible.”

“BSB and the generous donors who fund its various task forces never cease to amaze me with. The profound good you all provide to active duty Special Operations members and their families is amazing. You have an outsized positive effect, and truly improve the lives of our nation's finest warriors.

You gave my family a gift we will never forget. During our week together in Big Sky, MT, we were able to step away from the pace of our normal optempo and simply be a family again—dog sledding, skiing, playing in the snow, and spending unhurried time together just laughing and reconnecting. These moments created core memories for my wife and our small children that we will cherish for the rest of our lives, and the time together was deeply rejuvenating for all of us.

Once again, BSB has enabled my family to realize harmony in our family life.

In the military, the term “work-life balance” gets thrown around a lot, as if a set of scales you have to keep even.

In Special Operations, it’s impossible to keep the scales balanced, because protecting the freedom of our citizens is always at stake.

Instead, we aim for harmony in life. Harmony is more like being a conductor of an orchestra. You stay tuned in to the whole, and when a section is out of tune or rhythm, you pay closer attention or focus. This BSB family task force helped our family to “get in tune” and to reintroduce the importance and value of harmony into our lives again.

This experience would not have been possible without the generous support of incredible, patriotic Americans whose contributions made this trip a reality.

Your kindness reminded us that our family’s sacrifices in service are seen and appreciated, and it has genuinely renewed our desire to continue serving and defending our great nation with all our might.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for investing in families like ours and for strengthening the bond that sustains us through the demands of military life in the special operations community.”
