Family Task Force 41

A note from the family

“Going into our week in Big Sky, we were hoping for something simple but meaningful—to slow down, reconnect as a family, and create moments our kids would carry with them for years. A successful week, to us, meant being fully present with each other, trying new things together, and feeling that sense of joy and closeness that’s hard to find in the busyness of everyday life.

What we experienced was even more powerful than we expected.

Watching our kids learn to ski for the first time wasn’t just fun—it was emotional. Seeing their excitement, their determination, and their pride in themselves reminded us how special these moments are as parents. Exploring the Enchanted Forest and walking through the dinosaur exhibits at the Museum of the Rockies brought out a sense of wonder in all of us, especially seeing it through our children’s eyes.

More than anything, we wanted to feel connected—and we did.

Whether it was standing together at the top of the mountain, taking in the breathtaking views, or sharing quiet moments in nature, this trip gave us the space to truly be together. It wasn’t just a vacation—it was a reminder of what matters most, and it’s something our family will hold onto for a long time.

We are incredibly grateful to the BSB staff and donors for making this experience possible. Your generosity created something truly meaningful for our family, and we will carry these memories with us for years to come.

With deepest gratitude,

Family Task Force 41 Recipients”
