Quincy Burns

Finance Intern

Originally from Hudson, Wisconsin, a small river town just outside the Twin Cities, Quincy grew up embracing the outdoors and an active lifestyle. From skiing at just two years old to spending summers on the water and participating in a variety of sports, he developed an early appreciation for adventure, discipline, and trying new things. Raised alongside his two older twin siblings, Quincy credits his close-knit family and his parents' encouragement to stay curious and involved for shaping who he is today.

Soon to enter his senior year at Montana State University, Quincy is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting and plans to graduate in May 2027. His love for Montana began long before college through family trips to Big Sky and Yellowstone, and after touring campus, he immediately knew MSU was where he wanted to be.

Outside of the classroom, Quincy is an avid trail runner, golfer, and skier, and is spending his fourth summer working part-time at Black Bull Golf Community, where he supports members through outside services operations.

As Big Sky Bravery's Finance Intern, Quincy works alongside the Chief Financial Officer, helping strengthen policies while gaining firsthand experience in the nonprofit sector. The opportunity has provided valuable perspective on the differences between nonprofit and for-profit organizations while helping him gain clarity about his future career path.

With his sister serving within Special Operations, Quincy feels a personal connection to Big Sky Bravery's mission and is grateful for the opportunity to directly support those who serve.

"Being able to make even a small difference in the lives of those who sacrifice so much for our country is incredibly meaningful to me. Knowing I have the opportunity to support people who do the same work as my sister makes this experience even more special, and it's something I'm truly grateful to be a part of."
