Justin Lamson

Summer Intern

Originally from California, Justin grew up in a close-knit community where everyone knew one another, and a strong sense of pride and connection shaped his upbringing. Alongside his older brother, he spent much of his childhood playing football and learning the value of hard work from his parents, who consistently encouraged him to be the hardest-working person in any room. His older brother, now a police officer in California, remains one of his greatest role models and supporters. Justin deeply admires his brother's calm leadership, selfless service, and commitment to protecting others, a trait that would carry him into his next chapter.

A 2025 graduate of Stanford University, Justin played collegiate football at both Stanford and Syracuse before being recruited by Head Coach Brent Vigen to Montana State University to play quarterback. After experiencing difficult seasons earlier in his collegiate career, he found being part of Montana State's 2025 National Championship team especially meaningful. For Justin, the greatest reward was helping deliver a championship to Coach Vigen and the teammates who had worked tirelessly for years to achieve that goal.

Justin was first introduced to Big Sky Bravery when Founder and CEO Josh McCain spoke to the Montana State football team ahead of a game against Weber State, and the mission immediately resonated with him. Later, through the Bobcat Works Mentor Program, he was introduced to a list of local internship opportunities for student-athletes, and choosing Big Sky Bravery was an easy decision. We are grateful to John Knokey and Bobcat Works for helping make this meaningful connection possible.

As a summer intern, Justin is eager to immerse himself in every aspect of the organization, deepen his understanding of its mission, and contribute in any way he can. Through mentorship from Josh and Jeremy, he is focused on becoming a better leader, a better man, and someone who leads with greater purpose.

"One of the biggest lessons I'm learning is to understand people and the environments around them before making assumptions. Big Sky Bravery has shown me there's a deeper purpose behind everything, and that's a mindset I want to carry with me moving forward."
