Stephanie was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, known as the “Classic City,” where Southern traditions, close community ties, and University of Georgia athletics shaped much of her early life. Growing up in a quintessential Southern college town instilled in her a deep appreciation for tradition and connection, something she still feels every time she returns home. Although she has lived away from Georgia since 2012, Athens remains home in every sense of the word, and she still proudly cheers on her hometown Georgia Bulldogs football team and always will.

From a young age, Stephanie’s parents fostered a strong love of country, making it a priority to teach her the importance of the United States and those who defend it. Family service runs deep. Her grandfather and uncle served, and she grew up with profound respect not only for service members, but also for the families who stand beside them.

Stephanie moved to Montana in 2012 with her husband, Daniel, when he discovered an opportunity to purchase a well-loved local fly-fishing retail store. What began as a move quickly became a calling. Bozeman felt like home immediately, offering fresh air, a strong sense of community pride, and a spirit that Stephanie describes as truly American. Montana, to her, embodies love of country. One of her favorite annual traditions is the Memorial Day Parade in downtown Bozeman, where patriotism fills the streets and brings the community together.

At Big Sky Bravery, Stephanie leads the strategic planning and execution of the organization’s three major annual fundraising events, along with several smaller events throughout the year. Watching these events grow from locally attended gatherings to nationally recognized experiences has been both inspiring and deeply meaningful. What fuels her passion most is the close relationships she has formed with recipients and their families. Hearing their day-to-day realities reinforces her gratitude for those who serve and strengthens her commitment to ensuring they feel supported, honored, and cared for.

Stephanie hopes to leave Big Sky Bravery one day with a legacy of world-class events that future leaders can continue to grow. Her goal is that anyone who steps into her role will inherit events that reflect excellence, integrity, and national impact, and will clearly see how proud and honored Stephanie was to be part of this mission alongside her coworkers, donors, and recipients.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys traveling with Daniel, spending time back home in Georgia with her parents, and staying deeply connected to the Bozeman community. She also serves on the board of Cottonwood Day School, Montana’s first and only private, nonprofit elementary school dedicated to students with learning challenges, where she has volunteered her time and leadership for the past two years.

“Watching our events grow is meaningful, but what matters most to me are the people. Building relationships with our recipients and their families reminds me why this mission exists and why it’s worth doing with excellence.”

I've worked in marketing and design for 18+ years, and even met my wife (also a graphic designer) while working at an ad agency. She is my balance. We now have two young children and are finally learning the value of sleep.
